Friday, March 22 For those of you who think personal firewalls keep you perfectly safe, think again. Just as I've said for ages, they're pretty useless. I'm only posting this all again because somebody tried to convince me the other day that Norton Personal Firewall saved them from 270 "hacks" in 2 days on their cable. Until I explained that this happens to everyone and so long as he doesn't have a trojan server on his machine then it'll be ok. I then explained what a trojan server is. And installed one. And passworded it. hehehehehe :D Much more fun than pcAnywhere, and cuz he's on cable = always online. Fixed IP too... Although it's for his own safety, it's passworded with a 35-letter password so that other people can't use it. Basically so long as he has that trojan on there he's safe from attacks unless someone has a brute forcer and LOTS of time to wait. l8rz, Mista Kristfa.
