Saturday, September 7 Quick Tip: if you want to open Nero VERY quickly, do the WinKey+R combo (press and hold the Windows key and press R) then in the Run box type "nero" (no quotes). Nero will open, and you can then use either the Nero Express feature or create a compilation. Some more shortnames: notepad = notepad iexplore = Internet Explorer (can also be used with a web address after it, e.g. "iexplore www.website.net") msimn = Outlook Express 5 msmsgs = MSN Messenger sndvol32 = Volume Control sndrec32 = Sound Recorder winamp = winamp explorer = Windows Explorer (can also be used as so e.g. "explorer C:\windows\desktop" to open the Desktop folder) Time for Office... winword = MS Word excel = MS Excel powerp = MS PowerPoint msaccess = MS Access There's many, many more, but I can't remember them all. Try just the name of a programme if you want to try it out.
